Is there really a Tiger Jimmy?
Yes! Tiger Jimmy started practicing the fine art of oriental tattooing at the age of 17 back in Hong Kong in the 1950's. In 1973, he brought his skills and experience to San Diego, where he worked with the legendary Old Doc Webb.
In 1975, Tiger Jimmy officially opened his own business in Downtown San Diego. With nearly 30 years of tradition, the shop has become one of the most well known tattoo parlors in all of Southern California. Today Tiger Jimmy still enjoys tattooing, along with his sons and nephews. The shop continues to be family operated, with a unique combination of traditional and modern tattoo designs.
